Tammy's Tips

Right Zip = Wrong Location:
Have you ever noticed after entering a listing that it comes up in the wrong location, i.e. Cherry Run instead of Hedgesville? This seems to be a common error.

When entering a listing, make sure you click on the question (?) mark next to the zip code field for the choices attached to that particular zip code area and choose the correct location. If this step is not done, by default the system will choose the first alphabetical option in the list and cannot be manually changed once the listing has been submitted. If you have listings that have been assigned the wrong location by default, you can contact MRIS at 888-838-8200 and they will make the necessary changes.

Every month our Executive Officer, Tammy McBride-Lewis will bring you valuable REALTOR tips.

EPBR: Community Service News & Events

The Community Service Committee is a reflection of our membership. One of our primary goals is to show Realtors and Affiliates are an active, contributing force in our communities. We need your help - Please support some of our up-coming events. This can be as a volunteer at the event (there's always a need), eating something during the event (what can be easier?) or learning a skill that can save a life (CPR Training). There's something for everyone at our up-coming events:

Six Agents and Affiliates got CPR Training in April!

Attendees received their CPR Certificate and some great exercise while learning what to do in several types of emergencies. The cost of the course was donated directly to the Red Cross!

Tommy Underwood demonstrates proper technique for choking victims to Lou Ann Spaur, Paige Marchette, Pat Firesheets and Tammy Markle at the board office on April 22nd.

Yard Sale is scheduled for – Saturday May 31st at the EPBR Office
Start thinking now about cleaning out some of your "Stuff"!

This event will help support our troops (last year we were able to donate 350 Comfort Kits to Troops deploying to Iraq) and to our Veterans!

  • We'll take anything that is in good condition and saleable
    • Sorry - but we can't handle major appliances or clothing
  • Drop off donations directly to the board office during the last half of May.
  • Call the Board Office if you have something that's difficult to bring. We'll try to pick it up!

2008 AppleBee's Breakfast is scheduled for June 14th – Volunteers Needed!

We need volunteers to greet and seat diners, Serve breakfast, bus tables and wash dishes (Tommy Underwood did great last year!) Pancake Breakfasts (with sausage!) are served from 8:00 - 10:00 AM for just $5.00 which includes drinks! Tickets are available at the EPBR Office or from Community Service Committee Members. If you can't volunteer, come and have breakfast. Working with a client that day? Start with breakfast, a great way to show them how friendly and welcoming the Eastern Panhandle is!

 Last Year's Breakfast Crew
Last year ticket sales provided more than $1,000 that was donated to Forgotten Childrens Ministries – just when they needed it the most! This was one of our most fun events last year and we'll need help again!

Call the EPBR office at 263-8512 to sign up!
